Last week we had a jam-packed week of awards, where we recognised different achievements at UWL, all of which contribute to our amazing community.

We kicked off awards week with Impact Awards, our brand new ceremony which celebrates the impact of course reps, student staff, apprentices and the doctoral community. Both students and staff were able to nominate for this award and we were impressed with the number of nominations we received.

Next up we had Union Awards, a ceremony to recognise the dedication of sports clubs and societies. This award was nominated by students, for other students. This year, we had 549 sports members and 947 society members, who hosted events, fundraised and contributed to a lively year.

To end this incredible, celebratory week, we had Star Awards. Star Awards are an opportunity for students to recognise teaching and non-teaching staff at UWL for their support and commitment to their roles. We were blown away by how heartfelt these nominations were, demonstrating how much our students notice and appreciate staff members.
