Last week we came together to celebrate the hard work that Course Reps do year-round at the SU. They volunteer so much of their time to making sure their peers get the most from their course and university experience. Course Reps make an impact on so many different areas within UWL, including course content, quality of teaching, facilities and learning resources. They are vital to the work that we do at UWLSU, as they are the first link between us and the students; finding out directly what they need support with and what we can help to improve.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the effort that this year’s Reps have put in! Let’s take a look at some of their achievements:
A huge turnout at this year’s Course Rep Conference, where students learnt about a range of topics and worked to develop key skills, as well as network with other Reps
560 Course Rep hours logged through the Volunteering Accreditation Scheme
166 course matters have been raised and tracked by the SU this year through the Course Reps’ feedback
38 Course Reps were nominated in the SU Awards, being recognised by their peers for their outstanding work
To round it off, we’d love to share a message from our Student Voice team to the Reps, who run the Course Rep Programme:
"Course reps, thank you for all your amazing work this year! This year we successfully elected 560 course reps across the university, and collectively you have all helped to advocate for students on your course and worked to improve their academic experience. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many of you, whether at the course rep conference, training sessions, or course rep monthly meetings, and we’re so proud of all the work you have accomplished this year. For the first time many of you also got involved with the course rep accreditation scheme, logging the hours you worked to get officially recognised for your volunteering. Well done and see you in October for course rep elections!" UWLSU Student Voice Team
