What has University of West London Students' Union been up to?

With another successful academic year drawing to a close, UWLSU has been busy over the summer preparing for the year ahead.

Each year, we employ new student staff, who are integral to the SU's day to day functioning. We are excited to have expanded our student staff this year with new roles available, and are looking forward to welcoming our brand new:

• School Reps

• Commercial Crew

• SU Events Crew

• Front Desk Assistants

• Wellbeing & Fitness Team Members

• Content Creators

• Graphic Designers

We have also welcomed back Namira Shrestha, our SU President, and Sanaa Kazi, our VP of Activities and Participation, who will continue to represent students in the next academic year.

Natasha Mathema is our new VP of Education and we are thrilled to have her on board for the coming year; she has already been involved in some exciting projects, including attending the Southern Unions Conference 2026 to meet other Students' Unions.

The SU team have been planning an amazing Freshers schedule for September, full of long standing favourites and sparkling new activities. We have daytime and evening events so there is something for everyone, and we're excited to welcome both new and familiar faces. Our Freshers events can be seen here!

We have also been preparing for student inductions and big convo, to allow new students to quickly get to know us and understand what the role of the SU is, as well as how we can support them.
