Your School Reps have been working hard over the first semester to improve your experience. This involves; gathering feedback, reaching out to students, speaking to Course Reps, attending School Board meetings, engaging with lecturers and working on any feedback they receive to make sure it gets resolved.

Successfully transitioned from advocating for students at the London campus to representing students at the Reading campus, making sure student voices were still heard during the change.
Celebrated serving as a School Rep for two academic years in a row, continuing to represent students consistently while progressing through my course.
Supported nursing students on a one-to-one basis with academic, placement, and confidence-related challenges, drawing on my own experience as a student to offer practical support.
What I've enjoyed this semester...
Getting to know students at the Reading campus and building trust as their School Rep.
Having honest conversations with students about what’s working, what isn’t, and feeding this back through the right channels.
Feeling more confident advocating in meetings and recognising the impact of sustained student representation.
What I'm excited for...
Strengthening relationships with faculty and course reps at reading campus.
Continuing to support students, particularly during busy assessment and placement periods.

The biggest win for me is when I have relayed student feedback to lecturers and then hear how the changes we implemented have reduced stress and improved the learning experience

Getting to better know the LSFMD Lecturers, Course Leaders and Head of School.
Speaking to students directly and helping to resolve issues.
Working with the lovely SU staff and other School Reps.
What I’m excited for...
Continuing to advocate for student voices and implement positive changes.
Meeting new students and electing more Course Reps in February.
The annual Star Awards and Student Union Awards ceremony.
Nicoletta: School of Computing + Engineering

Working closely with students and academic staff to ensure students’ needs were properly represented and addressed.
Successfully managing multiple roles within the SU alongside other commitments in a smooth and organised way.
Being able to provide students with clear, accurate information and keep them consistently up to date with what’s happening at UWL.
What I've enjoyed this semester...
I enjoyed the modules I had and gained more insight into what I want to pursue in the future.
I enjoyed working with all the different teams and trying new things, from content creation to student engagement and the gym!!
What I'm excited for...
Finishing my dissertation and my last year of uni, which feels crazy to say, time really flew by.
It would be great to see students engaging and participating in the Hackathon organised by the ATAL Computing Society!!
Hopefully having a “sports day” for SCE, where we can all disconnect from computers and labs and have fun together.
I am organising a Django Girls London workshop next year, and I really hope it goes well. It’s open to anyone interested in coding and should be a fun way to learn!

Finishing my dissertation and my last year of uni, which feels crazy to say, time really flew by.
I got to advocate for students at the termly School Board. They really valued my opinion on different subjects.
Helping to coordinate the Course Rep Social alongside the Student Voice team, which focussed on developing their skills.
What I enjoyed this semester...
I've enjoyed elections, especially in LCM (one of the teachers pushed me to do acting exercises with the other students and I LOVED it).
I've enjoyed calls, socials, meeting other course reps.
What I'm excited for...
I'm looking forward to making actual changes in my school CLBS such as creating more practical experiences for students they can put on their cvs.
I'm looking forward to organising educational and fun trips such as hiking, events and going to the museum.

I enjoyed the openness of the Course Reps and their passion for their respective courses that was represented in the calls and the Course Rep meetings. It’s refreshing to see students engaged and passionate about their education and university experience.

Introducing DSL’s new Cert H Foundation course. The first ever course in DSL’s history which also includes Course Reps.
Being able to create places and resources for students in century house for students to utilize during break time/ lunch hours. Which resulted in more rooms being available to DSL students in Century House and getting extra Microwaves.
Course Rep meeting outings for student reps at DSL have been successful. Being able to meet up and connect with all the students reps and hear about their experiences has been a huge win this year!
What I've enjoyed this semester...
I’ve really enjoyed making the bonds and relationships stronger with my fellow school reps and SU Team! It’s been a real pleasure spending time with everyone and just going through the process of supporting each other!
What I'm excited for...
I look forward to what it will be like as a whole moving towards graduation and really helping develop the relationship between UWL and DSL.
